I started collecting vinyl at the beginning of 2025 and in a month I accumulated over 70 new records, with that came the issue of how I should store them, everywhere I looked for recommendations came back with the IKEA Kallax. Sorry nr get me wrong I have nothing against IKEA but I wanted something purpose made for vinyl storage.
I searches Amazon and I found the Charles Jacobs range. I checked the reviews, they were all positive. Rather than buying direct from Amazon I searched for Charles Jacobs own website as id rather buy direct from a company than putting my money into a place like Amazon.
I was pleased to find they had their own website that I could buy direct from. I took a punt and bought a 3 tier record storage unit. The delivery was super fast and I wasn't disappointed. My vinyl collection fits perfectly,the only nit is the perfect size, I noticed with the IKEA Kallax unit vinyls sat back, the unit seems to deep. With the Charles Jacobs unit there fit perfectly. I will need to purchase another unit soon as my collection is ever growing.
So far I've added about 80 vinyls in the 3 tier unit Md I reckon I'll get a total of about 100 in the unit, that includes single albums and multi gatefold.
My only complaint is that I wish they done a bigger unit, maybe a 3x3 with the same quality as the 1x3.
Would I recommend, hell yeah. For a few quid more than the IKEA Kallax your getting a quality piece of furniture that is made to store your precious collection
This box came flat packed with very good instructions. The box has thin sides of a nice wood colour, so ideal for what I wanted. More delicate than a Swedish companies offering and a much better price. Ideal for sitting on my wooden furniture by the record player. Husband likes it too.
The build quality of these LP storage cubes is excellent and they are very easy put together (less than 10 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver). Good quality materials, very well packaged and delivered quickly - couldn't ask for more! I have already purchased 4 triple cubes and will be back for more.
